Fred graduated with a BBA (1963) and JD (1965) degrees from the University of Texas. In 1970, he joined Myron Steves. Between 1965 and 1970 he practiced law with a Houston firm and as a judge advocate, US Marine Corps. He is a past president and former Director of the Texas Surplus Lines Association, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas, and is a past president and director of the American Association of Managing General Agents. He is a trustee of the AAMGA Education Foundation and serves on its executive committee. He held the position of Chancellor of the AAMGA University, the principal educational activity of the AAMGA Education Foundation. He is also President of Frederick B. Steves, Inc., a corporate partner of Myron Steves.

James W. Hooker :: CPA
Associate Director, Finance and Accounting

James joined Pronote, Inc. in July 2002 as an Associate Director of Finance and Accounting. He has over 14 years experience in the insurance industry. Before joining Pronote, James was Vice President of Finance and Controller for a large publicly traded insurance group. Prior to that, James was an Audit Manager for KPMG-Peat Marwick specializing in insurance. He spent two years in KPMG Peat Marwicks London, England office where he was in charge of auditing large international insurance groups. James graduated from Lamar University with a B.B.A. in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Manager

Davidson has been affiliated with Pronote for the past four years. He became manager in April of 2004. Davidson has five years of insurance experience. Prior to joining Pronote, Davidson was the Accounts Receivables Supervisor for Myron F. Steves & Company. Davidson graduated from the University of Houston - Downtown with a BBA in Finance.
